Where did you move from and what made you make the move to Maine?

I moved from West Palm Beach, Florida although I am originally from Mexico City and have lived all over the US and internationally. I moved to Maine for a job opportunity.

How do you spend your time here in Maine?

Enjoying the outdoors! I love going on cross-country ski trips, downhill skiing, kayak camping, hiking, going on runs and bike rides, or enjoying my time in parks or the beach. I also really enjoy spending time getting to know Portland's food and drink scene.

What do you love about working in Maine?

I love how supportive the whole entrepreneurship community is in Maine. Everyone is so willing to help in whatever way they can and it's great running into people and offering a helping hand in return.

What do you love about living in Maine?

The people are amazing here. I want to be friends with everyone I meet! And I kind of am haha!

Tell us a bit about your story!

I moved to Maine for a job at The Roux Institute in 2021. I had only been here a handful of times and had enjoyed it so I figured, "Why not?!" and now I never want to leave! I met my partner here, have fallen in love with the place, and feel deeply committed to continue making Maine an amazing place to live and work in.
