a day in the life
5:00 AM:
You wake up to the sound of seagulls and the fresh coastal breeze. You start your morning by brewing a pot of coffee at home. The aroma fills your cozy kitchen, and you enjoy a cup of your homemade brew while preparing for the day ahead.
6:30 AM:
You get to school an hour early, you’re a teacher at South Bristol Elementary School. Twice a week you all get to school a little early and go on a scenic walk with colleagues to catch-up, you all call it the “Walking Club”. It’s one of your favorite parts of your day!
8:30 AM:
The bell rings and your classroom is quickly filled with chattering and laughing of your 5th grade class. You have decorated it with vibrant decorations, books, and learning materials that create a welcoming and engaging environment for your students.
10:30 AM:
It's time for a morning break, you decide to take it from your classroom and use the time to prep for your next lesson.
12:00 PM:
Lunchtime arrives, and you join your colleagues in the school cafeteria or the nearby Bristol Community Park. You savor your packed lunch, enjoying the company of your fellow teachers and taking a moment to relax and recharge for the afternoon.
1:00 PM:
In the afternoon, you continue teaching various subjects, from math and science to language arts and social studies. You guide your students through engaging lessons, fostering their curiosity and love for learning. You also provide individualized attention and support to students who may need extra help.
3:00 PM:
As the school day ends, you spend some time grading assignments and preparing lesson plans for the next day. You ensure that your classroom is tidy and organized, ready to welcome your students the following morning.
4:00 PM:
After work, you head home, you are eager to tend to your garden! You spent the Summer learning to garden and now you can’t get enough.
6:00 PM:
For dinner, you visit The Harbor View, a charming local restaurant known for its delicious seafood and warm ambiance. You enjoy a satisfying meal while reflecting on the day's achievements and thinking about new ways to inspire and support your students.
8:30 PM:
You return to your home in Bristol, feeling fulfilled by the impact you make as an educator and the connections you foster with your students. You spend the rest of the evening unwinding, reading books, or preparing engaging lesson plans for the upcoming days.
