What do you love about working in Maine?
One of the most rewarding aspects of working in a small town in Maine is the opportunity to develop close relationships with the individuals you work alongside and those you serve. As we prepare the lodge for another season, wiping down the tables where loved ones will gather, there is a unique sense of belonging and community that comes with being a part of it all.
What do you love about living in Maine?
I've lived from the border of New Hampshire to the border of Canada; this state is vast and offers many opportunities. Some places try to be everything to everyone, and what makes Maine, especially Northern Maine, unique is that is not the case. The winters hit well below zero, and the summers have a humid heat. But with that, you get dog sled races, endless mountain biking trails, snowmobile trails that feel like highways, and of course so much skiing. Loving Maine is loving adventure and sharing that passion with a tight knit community.
Tell us a bit about your story!
It's amazing how life takes you on unexpected journeys. I remember moving up to Northern Maine over seven years ago to start my career in commercial video production for a small news station. I had just graduated from the University of Southern Maine and was eager to start my journey. Little did I know that my career path would take me into bank marketing, and then to ski area marketing and management. Working for a non-profit ski area has been one of the greatest joys in my career. Making a difference in so many young peoples lives. We keep one of Maines greatest pastimes alive and accessible to our community.
