Where did you move from and what made you make the move to Maine?

Moved from MA greater Boston area.  Sold my house there and moved up to my vacation home.  Covid accelerated the move.

How do you spend your time here in Maine?

Hiking, volunteering in my community, cultural events such as museums, concerts, sporting events.

What do you love about working in Maine?

No traffic!

Slower pace, the people are friendly.

Tell us a bit about your story!

I fell in love with coastal Maine 50 years ago and vowed I would retire here and live here as soon as possible.  In the mid 90s my then husband and I came up here in dead of winter with our small children to look at property.  We found the deal of a lifetime on the water. When I sold my small company in 2001 I had the cash available to have a house designed and built.  We moved in Aug 2002.  It was a vacation home until 2020.  House was designed so I could age in place.
