Longtime Mainer
How do you spend your time here in Maine?
I spend a lot of time in the outdoors; both for work and for pleasure. I also love to spend time playing with my daughter and am working on my PhD through UMaine!
What do you love about working in Maine?
I love getting to connect on deeper levels with Maine's natural history; I've been interested in studying nature since I was a kid, so to do it now as a job in one of the most naturally preserved states is a real privilege.
What do you love about living in Maine?
Maine is one of the most relaxed, easy-going areas in the world. It's also abound with variety - boreal forests, rocky coastlines, mountains, lakes, rivers, old and new towns - there's something to scratch every itch for any time of year for me.
Tell us a bit about your story!
I was born in Brunswick and raised in Litchfield. Always been drawn to nature, I have made a career out of studying it by pursuing research as a wildlife biologist. I received my undergraduate degree from Unity College in 2018 and am studying for my PhD at the University of Maine. I have worked with a variety of Maine's wildlife, but am particularly enjoying studying ways to protect our most threatened species and connecting people to our natural beauty.
