Longtime Mainer
How do you spend your time here in Maine?
I spend as much time as possible on or near the water. I love taking spin classes, hanging out with my kids, watching my son play baseball, going for boat rides, and generally just hanging out in Harpswell where I live.
What do you love about working in Maine?
I love the balance that I am able to achieve by working in Maine. I work very hard, but I am also able to spend quality time with my family when I need to (and want to). Because my husband is a fisherman, we know how important family time is, and how important it is to make time to spend with family.
What do you love about living in Maine?
I love everything about being in Maine. The ocean, the woods, the mountains, the people, and of course, mostly the fishing communities!
Tell us a bit about your story!
I've lived in Maine for most of my life, I'm married to a Maine fisherman, and I have two great kids. We live on the water in the mid-coast and not a day goes by where I'm not incredibly thankful to live in Maine and be a part of the fishing community. My family spends a lot of time on the water, but in the spring our schedules get a bit wonky because my son plays on a travel baseball team and my husband goes down to Gloucester to fish in the NGOM scallop fishery. I am also thankful that I get to work for the Maine Coast Fishermen's Association because I get to advocate for fishing families like mine and visit other amazing fishing communities along Maine's coast.I'm also a NASM-certified personal trainer. I think it's a very Maine thing to be able to do a lot of things and find ways to make them connect. I have a program at MCFA called Fishermen Wellness where I'm able to put my certification and love of health and wellness to work.
